- 36 Yard Zero
- A rifle zeroing approach where the sight is set at 36 yards to produce useful near and far intersections for practical holds.
- Agentic AI
- AI tooling used as an active coding partner that can plan, edit, debug, and iterate across a project rather than only answering isolated prompts.
- Astigmatism
- An eye condition that can make red dot reticles appear smeared, starred, or distorted instead of crisp.
- BetterDiscord
- A third-party Discord customization tool often used for themes, plugins, and CSS tweaks, with compatibility and policy tradeoffs.
- Context Window
- The working memory available to an AI model for instructions, chat history, source files, tool output, and generated responses.
- Deck-Building
- A game design pattern where the player improves and trims a card deck over time to shape strategy and survivability.
- Desync
- A multiplayer networking problem where the server and players disagree about timing, positions, shots, or damage events.
- Discord Bot
- An automated Discord account controlled by code to respond to commands, manage communities, or integrate external services.
- Escape From Tarkov
- A hardcore extraction shooter known for high-risk raids, detailed weapon systems, severe loss on death, and a player-driven economy.
- HHS Setup
- A hybrid holographic sight setup, usually pairing a non-magnified sight with a flip-to-side magnifier for flexible target distances.
- Hold Over
- Aiming above the desired impact point to compensate for bullet trajectory, sight offset, or distance.
- Hold Under
- Aiming below the desired impact point when a zero or trajectory causes the shot to land high at a given distance.
- IPSC
- The International Practical Shooting Confederation, a practical shooting ruleset and competition format covering handgun, rifle, shotgun, and Action Air.
- IPSC Action Air
- An IPSC discipline that uses airsoft handguns to practice stage movement, target transitions, and match procedure with a lower barrier to entry.
- IWA Outdoor Classics
- A European trade fair for hunting, shooting sports, outdoor equipment, law enforcement products, and industry networking.
- Loadout
- The selected set of gear, equipment, weapons, items, or abilities used for a match, game session, or challenge route.
- LPVO
- A low power variable optic that can run near 1x for close targets and magnify for distance, often used on practical rifles.
- Moderator
- The UK shooting term for a muzzle-mounted device that reduces report and blast; often called a suppressor or silencer elsewhere.
- .NET MAUI
- Microsoft's modern cross-platform app framework for building native mobile and desktop apps from a shared .NET codebase.
- Practical Mini Rifle
- A UK practical shooting format usually built around compact .22LR semi-automatic rifles, fast target engagement, and positional stages.
- Practical Shooting
- A dynamic shooting discipline built around movement, stage planning, accuracy, speed, and problem solving under measured conditions.
- Red Dot
- A non-magnified optic that projects an aiming dot or reticle, commonly used for fast close-range aiming on pistols and rifles.
- Roguelike
- A game structure built around repeated runs, changing conditions, escalating challenge, and meaningful loss or reset between attempts.
- S-Log 3
- A Sony log picture profile that captures a flatter image to preserve dynamic range for color grading.
- Shot Show
- A major US firearms, shooting sports, hunting, and outdoor trade show where manufacturers and media gather each year.
- Sight Over Bore
- The vertical offset between an optic or sight line and the barrel, which changes point of impact at close distances.
- Tactical Shooting
- A training style focused on defensive or operational scenarios, where context and procedure often matter more than pure match performance.
- Token Usage
- The amount of model context and generation capacity consumed while an AI assistant reads files, reasons, writes output, and revises work.
- True 1x Magnification
- An optic view that appears life-sized with minimal distortion, making both-eyes-open shooting feel close to a red dot.
- VOIP
- Voice over Internet Protocol, the technology behind internet voice chat in tools such as Discord, Teamspeak, and in-game comms.
- WordPress Migration
- The process of moving a WordPress site, database, media library, theme, and configuration from one host or environment to another.
- Xamarin Forms
