Project Update
Shaping the first operational model
Brass Log is being organised around the records an organisation needs to keep: usage, storage, ammunition, components, and maintenance.
The early Brass Log model is based on the idea that firearm management is a chain of related records.
Usage affects ammunition. Ammunition affects cost and inventory. Components affect maintenance history. Storage gives the organisation a place to account for the equipment.
Keeping those relationships visible is more useful than treating each record as a separate spreadsheet, and it gives the later reporting features something solid to build on.
